Keeping your account secure

Learn how to protect your Cuddle account, login information, email account, phone number, device, payment method, and other access methods.

Your Cuddle account is personal to you.

Keeping your account secure helps protect your profile, messages, settings, photos, Matches, Premium access, purchase records, reports, and support requests.

You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect the login credentials, email address, phone number, device, browser, payment method, and recovery methods associated with your account.

Use strong login practices

To help protect your account:

  • use a strong and unique password;

  • do not reuse a password from another service;

  • keep your email account and phone number secure;

  • keep your account contact information reasonably current;

  • protect any device or browser used to access Cuddle;

  • keep your device, browser, and operating system updated;

  • use only official Cuddle pages, links, and contact channels;

  • review account and security communications carefully; and

  • sign out after using a shared, public, borrowed, managed, monitored, or otherwise non-private device.

If Cuddle makes an additional authentication or account-security feature available, follow the instructions shown through the Service.

Do not approve a login, device connection, password reset, email change, phone-number change, or account-recovery request that you did not initiate.

Never share passwords or authentication codes

Do not share your:

  • password;

  • login link;

  • email confirmation code;

  • SMS verification code;

  • authentication code;

  • account-recovery code;

  • password-reset link;

  • secure review link;

  • account-recovery information; or

  • other login or security credential.

Cuddle will not require you to provide your password or authentication code to another member.

A person with access to your email account, phone number, device, browser, saved credentials, or recovery method may be able to access or misuse your Cuddle account.

Cuddle’s privacy and security tools cannot eliminate every risk created by shared devices, compromised accounts, malicious links, or unauthorized access.

Do not share your account

Unless Cuddle authorizes otherwise in writing, your account may be used only by you.

You may not:

  • allow another person to access or use your account;

  • use another person’s account;

  • create or operate an account for another person;

  • share your login credentials;

  • sell, rent, transfer, trade, license, lend, broker, or give away your account;

  • transfer or share Premium access;

  • transfer or share promotional or complimentary access;

  • transfer or share an account-review status or account indicator; or

  • create or use another account to avoid a review, restriction, suspension, termination, payment-method block, or other enforcement action.

Do not leave your account signed in on a device that another person can access.

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for activity conducted through your account or access methods.

This does not limit any right that cannot lawfully be waived regarding unauthorized access, unauthorized transactions, billing errors, fraud, privacy, data security, chargebacks, refunds, or consumer protection.

Be careful with links and messages

Be cautious if another person:

  • sends you a login or payment link;

  • asks you to leave Cuddle immediately;

  • claims that your account will be closed unless you act quickly;

  • asks for your password or authentication code;

  • asks you to approve a login or account-recovery request;

  • asks for payment-card or bank information;

  • asks you to download software or a browser extension;

  • sends a page that looks like Cuddle but uses a different website address;

  • claims to be Cuddle support through an ordinary member profile or message; or

  • asks you to send sensitive information through an unofficial channel.

Do not enter your password, payment information, authentication code, verification code, identity-document information, or other sensitive information into a link sent by another member or displayed on an unofficial page.

Do not download software, files, browser extensions, or mobile applications provided by another member as a condition of communicating with them.

If a link, page, request, or message looks suspicious, stop interacting with it and contact Cuddle through an official channel.

Use only official Cuddle checkout

Use only Cuddle’s authorized checkout when purchasing Premium.

A Cuddle Premium purchase is a payment to Cuddle for Cuddle-operated digital functionality. It is not a payment to or for another member.

Do not send another member:

  • payment-card information;

  • bank-account information;

  • payment credentials;

  • authentication codes;

  • payment handles;

  • wallet credentials;

  • private keys;

  • gift cards;

  • cryptocurrency;

  • deposits;

  • fees; or

  • another transfer of value.

Cuddle does not require you to pay another member to create an account, receive an invite, form a Match, send a message, complete an account review, obtain support, or maintain account access.

If another member requests payment, asks you to use an external checkout, or claims that payment is required to continue communicating, stop and use Cuddle’s reporting or blocking tools.

Protect sensitive review materials

Cuddle does not request identity documents, government identification, or Photo or Selfie Review materials through ordinary member messages or unofficial links.

Where Cuddle reasonably requires additional account review, Cuddle may provide a secure, authenticated review flow through the Service.

Submit sensitive review materials only when Cuddle specifically requests them and only through the authenticated process made available by Cuddle.

Do not send the following through ordinary email, member messages, profile fields, reports, appeals, invite-request forms, or postal mail:

  • passwords;

  • authentication codes;

  • complete payment-card details;

  • bank credentials;

  • identity-document images;

  • government identification;

  • Photo or Selfie Review materials;

  • private keys or wallet credentials;

  • medical records;

  • intimate content;

  • information about minors; or

  • other highly sensitive information.

Do not share a secure review link, session, or access method with another person.

Warning signs of unauthorized access

Your account or an associated access method may have been compromised if:

  • you cannot sign in using your usual login method;

  • your password no longer works;

  • your email address or phone number was changed without your permission;

  • you receive an authentication or password-reset message that you did not request;

  • you receive a new-login or device notice that you do not recognize;

  • your profile information or photos were changed without your permission;

  • you see Likes, Matches, messages, blocks, reports, or settings changes that you did not make;

  • you receive a purchase, billing, or Premium message that you do not recognize;

  • you see an unrecognized Cuddle charge;

  • another person says they received a message from your account that you did not send; or

  • you believe someone accessed your email account, phone number, device, browser, payment method, or Cuddle account.

Contact Cuddle promptly if any of these situations occur.

What to do if you suspect unauthorized access

If you can still access your account:

  1. Change your Cuddle password, where password login is available.

  2. Change the password for the email account connected to Cuddle.

  3. Secure the phone number and device connected to your account.

  4. Sign out of shared or unfamiliar devices where that option is available.

  5. Review your profile, messages, settings, and purchase records.

  6. Contact Cuddle through the appropriate official channel.

Also consider changing passwords on other services if you reused the same or a similar password.

Do not delete suspicious messages, account notices, or purchase records before contacting Cuddle if they may help explain what occurred.

If you cannot access your account, contact Cuddle and provide enough information to help locate and review it.

This may include:

  • the email address associated with the account;

  • your profile name;

  • the approximate date the issue began;

  • the device or browser you normally use;

  • a description of the activity you do not recognize;

  • any notice or reference number provided by Cuddle; and

  • whether you still control the associated email address or phone number.

Do not include your password, authentication codes, full payment-card number, card security code, bank credentials, identity-document images, government identification, or other highly sensitive information in the initial email.

Cuddle may provide separate instructions or an authenticated review flow if additional information is reasonably necessary.

Unrecognized or unauthorized charges

If you see an unrecognized, incorrect, duplicate, or potentially unauthorized Cuddle charge:

  • contact Cuddle’s Billing team promptly;

  • review your account and purchase records;

  • review whether another person had access to your device, browser, email account, or payment method; and

  • contact your card issuer or financial institution where appropriate.

When contacting Cuddle, provide only the information reasonably needed to locate the transaction, such as:

  • the account email address;

  • the approximate charge date;

  • the charge amount;

  • the billing descriptor shown; and

  • the last four digits of the payment card, where reasonably necessary.

Do not send a full payment-card number or card security code through ordinary email.

Reporting an unauthorized or unrecognized charge does not limit any applicable billing-error, unauthorized-transaction, chargeback, refund, statutory-cancellation, or consumer-protection right.

What Cuddle may do

When reviewing an account-security concern, Cuddle may review information reasonably relevant to the issue, including:

  • account information;

  • login and session information;

  • email or phone confirmation records;

  • device and browser information;

  • IP-address or approximate-location information;

  • account changes;

  • messages or activity associated with the reported concern;

  • reports and support records;

  • purchase and billing records;

  • fraud-prevention or payment-risk signals;

  • prior account-security actions; and

  • other records reasonably necessary to protect the account and the Service.

Depending on the circumstances, Cuddle may:

  • revoke active sessions;

  • require a password reset;

  • require confirmation of an email address or phone number;

  • require an account-ownership review;

  • temporarily restrict account access;

  • limit profile visibility, Likes, Matches, messaging, uploads, or photo sharing;

  • restrict checkout, Premium, or a payment method;

  • preserve relevant records;

  • lock, recover, suspend, or terminate an account;

  • block related accounts or access methods; or

  • take another reasonable action permitted by Cuddle’s policies or applicable law.

Providing information or reporting a concern does not guarantee immediate restoration, recovery, reimbursement, or a particular outcome.

Cuddle may be unable to disclose internal security methods, risk signals, reports, investigations, or confidential records.

Account security and member safety are different

Account security concerns include unauthorized access, credential theft, phishing, suspicious logins, or misuse of your account.

A safety concern may include harassment, threats, stalking, exploitation, blackmail, extortion, impersonation, scams, or another member’s conduct.

For safety concerns involving another member, use Cuddle’s available reporting, blocking, or unmatching tools.

Cuddle’s support, security, billing, and safety channels are not emergency-response services and may not be monitored in real time.

If there is immediate danger or an urgent need for emergency assistance, contact local emergency services.
