Deleting or closing your account

Learn how to request deletion or closure of your Cuddle account, what may happen to your profile and Service access, how deletion affects Premium, and why Cuddle may retain certain records.

You may request deletion or closure of your Cuddle account through account settings or support methods that Cuddle makes available.

Account deletion generally ends your ordinary access to the account and may remove or deactivate profile information from ordinary Service views.

Account deletion is separate from:

  • a privacy-law deletion request;

  • a refund request;

  • a statutory cancellation request;

  • a billing dispute;

  • an unauthorized-charge report;

  • a chargeback;

  • an enforcement appeal; or

  • a safety or rights complaint.

Deleting your account does not automatically complete any of those separate processes.

Before you delete your account

Before requesting account deletion, consider whether you need to:

  • review your account information and settings;

  • save information you are permitted to keep;

  • review any active Premium access;

  • review receipts or purchase records;

  • submit a billing, refund, or statutory-cancellation request;

  • submit a privacy or data-rights request;

  • report a safety concern;

  • preserve information relevant to a dispute or complaint;

  • update communication or privacy preferences instead of deleting the account; or

  • contact support about an account or technical issue.

Deleting your account may affect your ability to access:

  • your profile;

  • Matches;

  • messages;

  • photos;

  • settings;

  • reports;

  • blocks and unmatches;

  • support history;

  • receipts;

  • purchase records;

  • Premium functionality; and

  • other account features.

Do not assume that an account, profile, message history, Match, setting, or remaining Premium access can be restored after deletion is completed.

How to request account deletion

Where an account-deletion option is available through your account settings, follow the instructions shown there.

If you cannot access the deletion option or cannot sign in, contact:

Include enough information to help Cuddle locate the account, such as:

  • the email address associated with the account;

  • your profile name;

  • the approximate date you created or last accessed the account;

  • whether you can still access the associated email address or phone number; and

  • a brief explanation of the request.

Do not send your password, authentication codes, complete payment-card details, bank credentials, identity-document images, government identification, Photo or Selfie Review materials, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email.

Cuddle may require reasonable confirmation that you own or control the account before processing the request.

Where additional review is reasonably necessary, Cuddle may provide separate instructions or an authenticated review process.

Account deletion and privacy-law deletion are different

An ordinary account-deletion request asks Cuddle to close your account and end ordinary account access.

A privacy-law deletion request asks Cuddle to delete personal information where an applicable privacy law provides that right.

You may submit an applicable privacy-law deletion request by contacting:

A privacy-law request may require:

  • confirmation of the right you are exercising;

  • reasonable verification of your identity or authority;

  • clarification of the information or account involved;

  • an authorized-agent process, where applicable;

  • additional time permitted by law; or

  • another legally permitted procedure.

Cuddle may fulfill, limit, or deny a privacy-law deletion request only as permitted by applicable law.

Legal exceptions may allow or require Cuddle to retain certain information even after an account is deleted or a privacy-law deletion request is submitted.

What account deletion may do

Depending on the account, Service functionality, and status of the request, account deletion may:

  • disable your ability to sign in;

  • close or deactivate the account;

  • remove or deactivate your profile from ordinary Service views;

  • stop ordinary profile discovery;

  • stop ordinary use of Likes, Matches, messaging, and photo-sharing functionality;

  • make account settings unavailable;

  • make reporting, blocking, unmatching, support, or account tools unavailable through the deleted account;

  • end or restrict active sessions;

  • make some or all remaining Premium functionality unavailable; and

  • prevent future ordinary use of the deleted account.

Processing may not be immediate.

Cuddle may need a reasonable period to:

  • confirm account ownership;

  • process the request across active systems;

  • complete an open support or privacy process;

  • preserve legally permitted records;

  • address an account-security concern;

  • resolve a billing or payment matter;

  • investigate fraud, abuse, or a safety concern; or

  • comply with applicable law.

Deletion from an active Service view does not necessarily mean that every related record has been immediately or permanently removed from every system.

What account deletion does not automatically do

Account deletion does not automatically:

  • reverse a completed purchase;

  • invalidate an authorized charge;

  • create a refund;

  • create a credit or access extension;

  • cancel a chargeback;

  • resolve a billing error;

  • resolve an unauthorized-transaction claim;

  • resolve a payment dispute;

  • exercise a statutory cancellation right;

  • complete a privacy-law deletion request;

  • withdraw an open report, complaint, appeal, or legal request;

  • delete information another member already received;

  • remove information from another member’s device;

  • delete screenshots, recordings, downloads, or copies outside Cuddle’s control;

  • remove content already disclosed outside the Service;

  • erase a prior restriction, suspension, termination, or enforcement record;

  • authorize the creation of a replacement account;

  • remove a re-registration restriction; or

  • remove records that Cuddle is permitted or required to retain.

Deleting your account must not be used to evade:

  • an account review;

  • a safety or moderation action;

  • a payment-method restriction;

  • a fraud or payment-risk review;

  • a suspension or termination;

  • a re-registration block;

  • a legal obligation; or

  • another applicable restriction.

Premium and account deletion

Cuddle currently offers Premium as 30-day, fixed-term, non-renewing digital access.

Premium is purchased through a separate one-time checkout transaction and does not automatically renew.

Account deletion is therefore not required to prevent a future renewal charge. Cuddle will not automatically charge your payment method again solely because a Premium access period ends.

If you delete your account before Premium expires:

  • some or all remaining Premium functionality may become unavailable;

  • unused First Likes may be lost;

  • the Premium period may continue to expire according to its original schedule;

  • the access may not be transferable to another account; and

  • the deleted account may no longer be able to use the remaining access.

Except where required by law, stated at checkout, provided in applicable purchase terms, or approved by Cuddle, unused Premium access lost because of account deletion is not automatically:

  • refundable;

  • transferable;

  • replaceable;

  • extendable;

  • redeemable for cash; or

  • convertible into credit or another benefit.

Account deletion does not authorize Cuddle to make a future Premium charge.

Continued purchased Premium access would require a new checkout transaction and separate payment authorization, subject to account eligibility and availability.

Refunds and statutory cancellation rights

Account deletion is not the same as requesting a refund or exercising a statutory cancellation right.

For billing questions, refund requests, duplicate charges, unauthorized charges, billing errors, chargebacks, or payment disputes involving a Cuddle purchase, contact:

For a statutory cancellation, rescission, or another cancellation right provided by law, contact:

When contacting the Billing or Cancellations team, provide information reasonably available to identify the account and purchase, such as:

  • the account email address;

  • the approximate purchase or charge date;

  • the amount charged;

  • the receipt or transaction reference;

  • the state of residence where relevant;

  • the billing descriptor shown; and

  • a brief description of the request.

Do not send a complete payment-card number, card security code, password, authentication code, bank credential, identity-document image, government identification, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email.

Submitting an account-deletion request does not stop a deadline that applies to a statutory cancellation, billing-error notice, unauthorized-transaction report, chargeback, privacy request, appeal, or other legal right.

Messages and information shared with other members

Deleting your account may remove or deactivate your profile from ordinary Service views, but it may not delete information another person already received.

For example, another member may retain:

  • messages;

  • photos;

  • profile information;

  • screenshots;

  • recordings;

  • downloaded files;

  • notes;

  • contact information;

  • off-Service communications; or

  • other copies outside Cuddle’s control.

Blocking, unmatching, removing content, closing an account, or deleting an account may restrict future access through Cuddle. It does not guarantee deletion from another person’s device, inbox, backup, screenshot, recording, or external account.

Cuddle may prohibit unauthorized copying, disclosure, harassment, impersonation, intimate-image abuse, or other misuse, but Cuddle cannot control every recipient, device, or off-Service disclosure.

Use the available reporting tools or contact the appropriate Cuddle channel if another person is misusing your information or content.

Records Cuddle may retain

Cuddle may retain limited information after account deletion where reasonably necessary and permitted by applicable law.

Records that may be retained include information relating to:

  • account creation and eligibility;

  • account ownership and security;

  • purchases and payment authorization;

  • receipts and billing descriptors;

  • Premium activation and expiration;

  • refunds and statutory cancellations;

  • billing errors and unauthorized-charge reports;

  • chargebacks and payment disputes;

  • taxes, accounting, audits, and recordkeeping;

  • reports and complaints;

  • safety and moderation;

  • fraud prevention and payment-risk management;

  • restrictions, suspensions, terminations, and appeals;

  • account takeover or security incidents;

  • privacy requests;

  • rights complaints;

  • legal claims, legal holds, and lawful requests;

  • support communications;

  • enforcement and restriction-evasion prevention;

  • backups, logs, archives, and recovery systems; and

  • protection of members, Cuddle, payment participants, service providers, and the Service.

Cuddle does not necessarily retain every category for the same period.

Retention depends on factors such as:

  • the nature and sensitivity of the information;

  • why the information was collected;

  • whether a request, transaction, dispute, investigation, or legal matter remains open;

  • safety, security, fraud-prevention, and payment-risk needs;

  • tax, accounting, audit, contractual, and legal requirements; and

  • reasonable technical and operational requirements.

Information removed from an active system may remain temporarily in backups, logs, archives, search indexes, recovery systems, or service-provider systems before deletion, isolation, de-indexing, or expiration.

Retention of purchase records does not create a subscription, automatic renewal, recurring billing, automatic repurchase, or authorization for a future charge.

Review materials

Where Cuddle conducted a limited, risk-based Identity-Document Review, Government-ID Review, or Photo or Selfie Review, submitted review materials are handled under the Privacy Policy and the notice provided with the review process.

After the review and related operational, safety, fraud-prevention, payment-risk, dispute, and legal needs are resolved, Cuddle may place submitted review images into its operational deletion process.

Deletion may be subject to:

  • reasonable processing periods;

  • backup cycles;

  • legal holds;

  • applicable law; and

  • operational requirements.

Cuddle may retain a limited review-result record, such as:

  • the type of review;

  • the result or status;

  • the completion date;

  • an internal reference or reason code;

  • the account identifier; and

  • whether another review is required.

Do not send review materials through ordinary email when requesting account deletion.

Accounts under review or restriction

If an account is associated with an open matter, Cuddle may preserve relevant information as reasonably necessary or permitted by law.

An open matter may involve:

  • suspected fraud;

  • payment abuse;

  • chargeback activity;

  • account takeover;

  • a safety concern;

  • harassment or exploitation;

  • prohibited services or payments;

  • impersonation;

  • a security incident;

  • a privacy request;

  • a refund or statutory-cancellation request;

  • a billing or payment dispute;

  • an enforcement appeal;

  • a rights complaint;

  • legal process; or

  • another material risk.

Account deletion does not prevent Cuddle from:

  • completing an investigation;

  • preserving evidence;

  • responding to a payment participant;

  • resolving a dispute;

  • enforcing applicable terms;

  • preventing restriction evasion;

  • complying with law; or

  • protecting members and the Service.

Deleting a restricted, suspended, or terminated account does not authorize you to create or use another account in violation of an applicable restriction.

Can a deleted account be restored?

Account restoration is not guaranteed.

After deletion is completed, some account information, content, Matches, messages, settings, Premium functionality, or other Service records may no longer be available for restoration.

Cuddle may decline or be unable to restore an account where:

  • the account has been permanently deleted;

  • ownership cannot reasonably be confirmed;

  • restoration would create a privacy, safety, security, fraud, payment, legal, or compliance risk;

  • the account was restricted or terminated;

  • restoration would circumvent an enforcement action; or

  • the information is no longer reasonably available.

Do not delete your account on the assumption that it can later be reopened in its prior state.
