Does Cuddle verify members or check their backgrounds?

Understand when Cuddle may review accounts or records, and why a review doesn’t guarantee identity or safety.

Cuddle does not verify every member’s information or conduct criminal background or sex offender registry checks on every member. Most members are not expected to undergo criminal-history review.

Following reports or credible concerns, we may conduct limited account or public-record reviews. Records may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or matched to the wrong person. Reviews are not routinely repeated or updated unless new information, disclosed practices, or law requires otherwise.

We don’t routinely require ID or current photos at signup. We may request them when reasonably necessary. Submit them only through Cuddle’s authenticated review process. Don’t email review materials or send them to another member. An ID or photo review is not a criminal background check.

People required to register as sex offenders are ineligible. Other criminal convictions do not automatically disqualify a member.

A review, badge, Match, or Premium subscription does not guarantee identity or safety. Read our Criminal Background Screening Disclosure and Safety Tips / Dating Safety Notice. Report concerns using Cuddle’s reporting tools or [email protected]. You don’t need proof of a criminal conviction to report concerns.
