Account quality and review limits

Learn why Cuddle may review an account, what a review may involve, and what account review does not guarantee.

Cuddle may review accounts, profiles, photos, activity, reports, purchases, or related information where reasonably necessary to support account quality, eligibility, safety, account security, moderation, fraud prevention, payment-risk management, legal compliance, or Service integrity.

Not every account is reviewed in the same way.

Why might my account be reviewed?

Cuddle may review an account when:

  • profile or account information appears incomplete, inconsistent, or misleading;

  • an account may be fake, duplicated, compromised, or impersonating someone;

  • Cuddle receives a report or safety concern;

  • suspicious login or account activity is detected;

  • checkout, payment, refund, or chargeback activity requires review;

  • fraud-prevention or payment-risk controls apply;

  • account ownership or eligibility needs to be confirmed; or

  • review is reasonably necessary to enforce Cuddle’s Terms or applicable law.

A review may occur before or after account creation, profile publication, checkout, a purchase, a report, or another Service interaction.

What may a review involve?

Depending on the concern, Cuddle may review:

  • account and profile information;

  • profile photos and other submitted content;

  • account activity;

  • reports and support communications;

  • messages or content relevant to a report;

  • device, browser, session, IP-address, or approximate-location information;

  • checkout, billing, or payment-related information; and

  • other information reasonably relevant to the review.

Cuddle may also ask you to complete:

  • email confirmation;

  • phone-number verification by SMS;

  • age or date-of-birth confirmation;

  • account-ownership or account-security steps; or

  • another limited review.

In limited, risk-based circumstances, Cuddle may request an Identity-Document Review, Government-ID Review, or Photo or Selfie Review.

These additional reviews are not routinely required from every member during ordinary registration.

How should I submit review information?

Submit information only through the authenticated review process expressly provided by Cuddle.

Do not send the following through ordinary email, member messages, profile fields, reports, appeals, or unofficial links:

  • passwords;

  • authentication codes;

  • complete payment-card details;

  • bank credentials;

  • identity-document images;

  • government identification;

  • Photo or Selfie Review materials; or

  • other highly sensitive information.

If additional information is necessary, Cuddle will provide appropriate submission instructions.

What happens while an account is under review?

While a review is pending or unresolved, Cuddle may:

  • request additional information;

  • ask you to correct account or profile information;

  • ask you to remove or replace content;

  • require an account-security step;

  • delay profile publication;

  • limit profile visibility;

  • limit Likes, Matches, messaging, uploads, or photo sharing;

  • delay or decline checkout;

  • limit Premium functionality; or

  • temporarily restrict account access.

Purchasing Premium does not exempt an account from review.

Submitting requested information does not guarantee approval, restoration, Premium access, review completion, or another particular outcome.

What does account review not guarantee?

Account review is not a safety clearance, endorsement, or comprehensive background investigation.

A profile, photo, review, badge, account indicator, Premium purchase, moderation action, or support response does not guarantee another member’s:

  • identity;

  • age;

  • location;

  • relationship or marital status;

  • account ownership;

  • background;

  • intentions;

  • truthfulness;

  • compatibility;

  • safety; or

  • future conduct.

Cuddle does not conduct criminal background checks or sex-offender-registry checks on every member.

What if another account appears misleading?

Report the account if you believe it is:

  • fake or impersonating someone;

  • using stolen or unauthorized photos;

  • providing materially misleading information;

  • involved in scams or payment requests;

  • unsafe; or

  • otherwise violating Cuddle’s rules.

Use the available reporting tools or contact:

You do not need Premium to submit a report.

What if I believe my review was incorrect?

If you believe your account was reviewed, limited, or changed by mistake, contact Cuddle with:

  • the email address associated with your account;

  • your profile name;

  • the approximate date;

  • the affected feature or access; and

  • a brief explanation of the issue.

Do not include unnecessary highly sensitive information in your initial email.
