Does Cuddle screen every member?
No.
Cuddle does not conduct criminal background checks or sex-offender-registry checks on all members.
Cuddle does not routinely or continuously check every member against:
criminal-history records;
court records;
sex-offender registries;
public-record databases; or
similar sources.
Most members are not subject to criminal background screening before creating an account, viewing profiles, sending or receiving Likes, forming Matches, messaging, purchasing Premium, or continuing to use Cuddle.
Does Cuddle ever review public records?
In limited, risk-based, report-based, or legally required circumstances, Cuddle may review:
credible reports or other relevant information;
publicly available government records;
publicly available sex-offender registries; or
other lawful public sources.
Not every report results in a criminal-record or registry search.
A limited review of one account does not mean that Cuddle screens every member or continuously monitors the reviewed member.
Are registered sex offenders permitted to use Cuddle?
No.
A person who is required to register as a sex offender may not use Cuddle under the Terms of Service.
This eligibility rule does not mean that Cuddle has checked every member against every available registry.
Registry records may also be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, unavailable, legally restricted, or associated with the wrong person.
Are account reviews the same as background checks?
No.
Where reasonably necessary, Cuddle may request a limited:
Identity-Document Review;
Government-ID Review; or
Photo or Selfie Review
through an authenticated review process made available by Cuddle.
These processes may help assess matters such as account ownership, age eligibility, impersonation, fraud, account security, payment risk, moderation, or safety concerns.
They are not, by themselves:
criminal background checks;
sex-offender-registry checks;
comprehensive identity verification;
relationship-status checks;
intention checks; or
safety clearances.
These additional reviews are not routinely required from every member during ordinary registration.
Does a profile or review mean someone is safe?
No.
A profile, photo, Like, Match, message, account review, badge, account indicator, Premium purchase, report response, moderation action, or continued account access does not guarantee another member’s:
identity;
age;
location;
relationship or marital status;
background;
criminal history;
sex-offender status;
intentions;
truthfulness;
compatibility;
safety; or
future conduct.
Use your own judgment, protect sensitive information, respect boundaries, and use available reporting, blocking, and unmatching tools.
What should I do if I have a concern?
Report a member if you believe the account may involve:
impersonation or false information;
harassment or threats;
scams or financial exploitation;
payment requests;
sexual coercion;
blackmail or extortion;
possible minor use;
serious criminal conduct; or
another material safety concern.
Use the reporting tools available through the Service or contact:
You do not need Premium to report, block, or unmatch another member.
Do not continue communicating or put yourself at risk merely to collect additional evidence.
