How Cuddle handles information

Learn how Cuddle may collect, use, share, retain, and protect information when you use the Service.

Cuddle handles personal information to provide, operate, secure, support, improve, and enforce the Service.

The information involved depends on how you interact with Cuddle and which features you use.

What information may Cuddle collect?

Depending on your use of Cuddle, information may include:

  • invite-request, account, contact, and eligibility information;

  • profile information, preferences, and photos;

  • Incoming Likes, Likes Back, First Likes, Matches, and related activity;

  • messages and communication-related information;

  • reporting, blocking, safety, and moderation information;

  • support requests and privacy requests;

  • Premium, checkout, receipt, billing, refund, and payment-status information;

  • device, browser, session, cookie, security, and usage information; and

  • fraud-prevention and payment-risk information.

Cuddle does not collect every type of information from every member.

How does Cuddle use information?

Cuddle may use information to:

  • create and manage accounts and profiles;

  • provide discovery, Likes, Matches, and messaging;

  • operate Free Access and Premium;

  • process purchases and provide receipts;

  • protect accounts and prevent unauthorized access;

  • detect and address fraud, scams, spam, and abuse;

  • review reports and moderate content;

  • respond to support, billing, safety, security, and privacy requests;

  • operate cookies, preferences, and technical functionality;

  • improve and troubleshoot the Service;

  • enforce Cuddle’s Terms and policies; and

  • comply with legal obligations.

Premium is Cuddle’s current optional paid feature.

Who can see information I share?

Information submitted for display or communication may be visible to other members depending on:

  • the feature you use;

  • your settings and actions;

  • account status;

  • Matches, blocks, or unmatches; and

  • available visibility or photo-sharing controls.

Other members may copy, save, screenshot, record, forward, publish, or disclose information outside Cuddle.

Do not share information that you would not want another person to retain or disclose.

Are messages private?

Cuddle messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

Cuddle and authorized service providers may process messages and related information where reasonably necessary to:

  • deliver and store messages;

  • maintain account and Service security;

  • filter spam or malicious content;

  • investigate reports;

  • moderate content;

  • prevent fraud or abuse;

  • provide support; or

  • comply with applicable law.

Do not use Cuddle messages to send passwords, authentication codes, payment information, identity documents, government identification, or other highly sensitive information.

How is payment information handled?

Cuddle uses authorized payment processors and payment participants to process Premium purchases.

Full payment-card details are intended to be entered through processor-hosted or processor-approved payment fields. They are not intended to be received or stored on Cuddle-controlled systems.

Cuddle may receive limited information such as:

  • transaction status;

  • payment-method type;

  • masked payment details;

  • billing information;

  • receipt or transaction identifiers;

  • refunds, reversals, or disputes; and

  • fraud-prevention or payment-risk information.

A Cuddle purchase is payment to Cuddle for Cuddle-operated digital functionality. It is not payment to or for another member.

Does Cuddle share information?

Cuddle may make information available to service providers and payment participants that help with:

  • hosting and infrastructure;

  • communications and support;

  • security and fraud prevention;

  • payment processing and billing;

  • analytics and technical performance;

  • moderation and account integrity; and

  • legal compliance.

Cuddle may also disclose information where reasonably necessary or permitted for safety, security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, payment disputes, enforcement, business transactions, or protection of users and the Service.

Does Cuddle sell personal information?

Cuddle does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Cuddle also does not use private messages, sensitive personal information, or payment-related personal information for targeted advertising.

How long does Cuddle keep information?

Cuddle keeps information for as long as reasonably necessary or permitted for purposes such as:

  • providing and securing the Service;

  • account management;

  • safety and moderation;

  • fraud prevention and payment-risk management;

  • billing, refunds, disputes, and accounting;

  • support and privacy requests;

  • enforcement and legal compliance; and

  • backups and reasonable business operations.

Retention periods vary depending on the information, the account, legal requirements, open disputes, and safety or security needs.

Deleting an account does not necessarily delete every related record immediately.

How can I exercise privacy rights?

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request:

  • access;

  • correction;

  • deletion;

  • portability;

  • an applicable opt-out;

  • withdrawal of consent; or

  • an appeal of a privacy-request decision.

Cuddle may need to confirm your identity, account ownership, residency, or authority before completing a request.

How does Cuddle protect information?

Cuddle uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to help protect information.

However, no online service, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You can help protect your information by:

  • using a strong, unique password;

  • protecting your email account and phone number;

  • not sharing login credentials or authentication codes;

  • avoiding suspicious links;

  • signing out on shared devices; and

  • using only official Cuddle pages and contact channels.
