Account deletion and retained records

Learn what happens when you delete your Cuddle account, what information may remain, and how to submit a privacy deletion request.

What happens when I delete my account?

Account deletion generally closes your account and removes or deactivates your profile from ordinary Service views.

After deletion, you may lose access to:

  • your profile;

  • Matches and messages;

  • photos and settings;

  • account and support tools;

  • purchase records available through your account; and

  • any remaining Premium functionality.

Account deletion may take a reasonable period to process across Cuddle’s systems.

How do I request account deletion?

Where available, use the account-deletion option in your account settings.

If you cannot access your account or the deletion option, contact:

Include the email address associated with your account and enough information to help Cuddle locate it.

Do not send passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card details, bank credentials, identity-document images, government identification, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email.

Is account deletion the same as a privacy deletion request?

No.

An ordinary account-deletion request closes your Cuddle account.

A privacy deletion request asks Cuddle to delete personal information where applicable privacy law provides that right.

To submit a privacy deletion request, contact:

Cuddle may need to reasonably confirm your identity, account ownership, state of residence, or authority to act before completing the request.

Legal exceptions may permit or require Cuddle to retain certain information.

What information may Cuddle retain?

After account deletion, Cuddle may retain limited records where reasonably necessary or permitted for:

  • account security;

  • safety and moderation;

  • fraud prevention and payment-risk management;

  • billing, receipts, refunds, and statutory cancellations;

  • chargebacks and payment disputes;

  • tax, accounting, and audit requirements;

  • support and privacy-request records;

  • enforcement and prevention of restriction evasion;

  • legal claims, legal holds, and lawful requests; and

  • backups, logs, archives, and Service recovery.

Cuddle does not necessarily retain every category for the same period.

Information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, search indexes, archives, or service-provider systems before deletion, isolation, de-indexing, or expiration.

What happens to messages and shared information?

Deleting your account does not guarantee deletion of information another member has already received or copied.

Another person may retain:

  • messages;

  • photos;

  • screenshots;

  • recordings;

  • downloaded or forwarded copies;

  • contact information; or

  • information disclosed outside Cuddle.

Cuddle may restrict misuse of this information, but it cannot delete copies controlled by another person or external service.

What happens to account-review records?

If Cuddle requested a limited Identity-Document Review, Government-ID Review, or Photo or Selfie Review, submitted review images may be placed into Cuddle’s deletion process after the review and related operational, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal needs are resolved.

Cuddle may retain a limited record of the review, such as:

  • the review type;

  • the result or status;

  • the completion date; and

  • an internal reference associated with the account.

Does deleting my account cancel or refund Premium?

No.

Account deletion does not automatically:

  • reverse a completed purchase;

  • create a refund;

  • exercise a statutory cancellation right;

  • resolve a billing dispute; or

  • transfer unused Premium access.

Premium is a 30-day, fixed-term purchase and does not automatically renew. Deleting your account is therefore not required to prevent another renewal charge.
