Sensitive information and secure upload

Learn what information you should not send through ordinary channels and how to submit account-review materials when Cuddle specifically requests them.

Do not send sensitive information through ordinary channels

Do not send highly sensitive information through:

  • ordinary email;

  • Cuddle messages;

  • profile fields;

  • general support forms;

  • reports or appeals;

  • invite-request forms;

  • unofficial links; or

  • postal mail.

Highly sensitive information includes:

  • passwords;

  • authentication or verification codes;

  • full payment-card details;

  • bank-account credentials;

  • private keys or wallet credentials;

  • identity-document images;

  • government identification;

  • photo or selfie review materials;

  • intimate content;

  • medical records;

  • information about minors; or

  • other information that could create a significant privacy, security, fraud, or safety risk.

An initial support, privacy, billing, cancellation, or safety request normally does not require sensitive attachments.

Does Cuddle require identity documents during registration?

Not routinely.

Cuddle does not ordinarily require every member to complete an:

  • identity-document review;

  • government ID review; or

  • photo or selfie review

during ordinary registration.

Profile photos submitted for display through the Service are separate from account-review materials.

When might Cuddle request additional review?

In limited, risk-based circumstances, Cuddle may request additional information to address matters such as:

  • suspected impersonation;

  • scams or fraud;

  • account ownership;

  • age eligibility;

  • unauthorized account access;

  • account recovery;

  • payment risk;

  • safety concerns;

  • prohibited commercial activity;

  • privacy or legal compliance;

  • moderation; or

  • enforcement.

Not every member is subject to every type of review.

How should I submit requested materials?

Submit review materials only when Cuddle specifically requests them.

Use only the secure, authenticated review flow provided through the Service and follow the instructions shown there.

When using the review flow:

  • submit only the information requested;

  • confirm that you are using an official Cuddle page;

  • do not share the review link, session, or access method;

  • do not send duplicate copies through email or support; and

  • contact Cuddle if the request appears suspicious.

The authenticated review flow is not a payment channel.

Cuddle does not require a fee, deposit, gift card, cryptocurrency payment, or transfer to submit account-review materials.

How does Cuddle handle review materials?

Cuddle uses review materials only for the applicable review and related purposes described when the information is collected.

After the review and related operational, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal needs are resolved, submitted review images are placed into Cuddle’s operational deletion process.

Deletion may be subject to reasonable processing periods, backup cycles, legal holds, applicable law, and operational requirements.

Cuddle may retain a limited record of the review, such as:

  • the review type;

  • the result or status;

  • the completion date;

  • an internal reference; and

  • whether another review is required.

For complete information, review Cuddle’s Privacy Policy.

What does a completed review mean?

A completed review is limited to its stated purpose.

It is not:

  • a criminal background check;

  • a sex-offender-registry check;

  • a relationship-status check;

  • a comprehensive identity investigation;

  • an endorsement; or

  • a safety clearance.

A review does not guarantee identity, age, account ownership, eligibility, truthfulness, background, safety, or future conduct.

Continue to use your own judgment and available reporting, blocking, and unmatching tools.

What if I receive a suspicious request?

Do not submit information if:

  • the request came from another member;

  • the link is not an official Cuddle page;

  • someone asks for payment;

  • someone asks for your password or authentication code;

  • the request creates unusual urgency; or

  • the instructions conflict with this article.

Stop interacting with the request and contact Cuddle through an official channel.
